The diving robot revealed the impossible: a colossal, vintage airplane resting silently in the deep. Heavy cables were carefully attached to its corroded wings. With the pull of a lever, the immense crane groaned, slowly lifting the massive machine from its watery grave.
Half an hour later, the ocean surface broke. An enormous passenger plane covered in algae and barnacles emerged into the sunlight. Its black-and-white striped tail belonged to an airline from a bygone era.
As the crew scrubbed away decades of marine growth, they realized this plane had been sitting down there since the 1970s.
But the biggest mystery lay behind its dark, empty windows.
